Tracking

We assist verified car owners, who don’t have a tracking device, with a discounted fitment by their preferred vehicle tracking partner.

Insurance

During each booking car owners and renters are covered. This includes comprehensive insurance on the car for theft, accidental repairs, and damages, plus 3rd party cover. It also includes 24/7 roadside assistance for the renters.

You’re in control

As a car owner, you’re in control and able to decide whom to rent to. Deny a request if it doesn’t suit you.

How does it work?

List to Earn

List your car

"Sign Up" and select "List your car'". Once verified, complete your listing. Use the calculator to determine your rate and remember to add quality photos and descriptions to attract more renters.

Respond to rental requests

Soon you'll be getting rental requests by email and SMS. We pre-screen all renters, but you get to choose who rents your car. Before accepting a booking request, respond to the renters’ questions.

Accept a request

When you’re happy, accept the booking request. Once payment has been made to RentMyRide you’ll be notified and a trip checklist will be sent to you.

Meet your renter

Agree on a meeting place to inspect the vehicle, sign the trip checklist, and hand over the keys. The renter can pick up the car from you or you can deliver it to them for an extra fee.

Your car is covered

During the rental period, your car is covered by our fully comprehensive insurance policy.

Pick up your car

The renter will drop the car off with you at a mutually agreed point. You'll do a final inspection, sign the trip checklist with the renter, and get your keys back.

Get paid

RentMyRide will deposit your earnings on the 25th of each month. Extras, if any? (e.g. the fuel is not on the same level as when you delivered the car). Please send us the trip checklist and receipts as soon as possible.

Review the renter

You will be contacted by email or SMS to rate your experience and review the renter. Reviews help us maintain our service level and the quality of our renter community.

Rent to Ride

Find a car to rent

"Sign Up" and select "Rent a car". Once verified you can search using filters to find the perfect car to rent.

Request to book it

Once you’ve found the rental car of your dreams, click “Book Now” to send a booking request to the owner. The owner has 24hrs to confirm the booking, but often respond much faster.

Booking confirmation

Once the owner has accepted your booking request RentMyRide will issue an invoice to you.

Make payment

After payment, you can arrange a pick-up location with the owner. Some owners will deliver the car for an extra fee. Now, sit back and await your trip.

Pick up the car

On the day of the booking, you will inspect the vehicle and sign the trip checklist with the owner. Ask for a copy of the signed trip checklist or snap a photo with your phone.

The Renter is covered

During the rental period, the car is covered by our fully comprehensive insurance policy and renters receive 24/7 nationwide roadside assistance.

Return the car

On completion of your trip. Kindly return the car to the owner in good condition and with a full tank.

Review the owner

You'll receive an email or SMS asking you to rate your experience and the car. Reviews help us maintain our service and the quality of the vehicles on our platform.
